For those who wanted to have a political career and were seeking the
generosity of BP....you would rather think some other fundings.

BP Plc, London, will no longer make political donations anywhere in the
world, BP chief executive officer John Browne said in a speech recently. He
added that oil and other companies "shouldkeep thei distance from the
political process" in part because of the Enron Corp. debacle.
