I am sad

I heard all of you this morning, offering to share your opinions,
sentiments...but unfortunately no real debate...
I listened but would not participate...I wanted to know how real "basic"
american citizens, like you and not the media such as CNN or Fox News or
MSNBC, react to the situation. And I must admit that it was interesting.
I did not want to participate, although I was longing to do so, because I
didn't want to influence the flow of the debate.

I have eventually come up with two conclusions: you guys are very
enthusiastic, commited and love your country, which is very noble and I
respect that very much. However I have come up with another conclusion: most
of you simply repeat everything they hear or read, in the American media news,
parrot-fashion without full knowledge of the facts that are really going on
there or anywhere else.

I might be caricaturing a little bit, but I am sad to say that a very very
very very few proportion of Americans has an international culture or
knowledge: most of you know only part of you country and never been abroad, so
how can you judge people you have never met or how can you judge about the
situation in the Middle East or elswhere if you have not been there, or known
the people, known the conditions they live in, except what you see on TV.

I am not stating that I know better than you do, but I do not talk or say
things I am not aware of. I am sure I have travelled more than anyone of you
in the class but certainly less than Pr. Henry did. Yet still, I am not
talking about matters that have not been proved or matters I am not aware of.
In that perspective, I also would like Pr. Henry if he agrees of course to
share his thoughts about the situation there. He has lived in the Arab world
and in the middle-east in particlar, and I am sure we could all benefit from
his knowledge.

Again, You would excuse me, but when I hear your Predident, G.W Bush to whom
most of you voted for, saying once on a press conference that Pakistan was in
Africa, I am sorry... but hearing the representative of the first superpower
in the world who wants to free the world from tyrants and ignorants, that does
not sound right at all.

let me now clarify or refresh the memories of some of you:

Question 1: Has Iraq nuclear, biological or chemical weapons?
Answer: Maybe and maybe not.... excluding the "CIA said" or "Bush said"
or "Tony Blair said"...I challenge anyone of you in the class, especially
those who said loudly, that IRAQ has weapons of mass destruction and is a
threat for the world, to bring us on thrursday the proofs on which basis they
have asserted that. I might be the only one so far who did not notice that,
maybe you guys have elements that proof the guilt of the Iraqi regime, so
please share these information with us on thursday.

Question 2: Have the Iraqi regime ever used nuclear weapons?
Answer: Maybe and maybe not

Question 3: Has the USA nuclear, biological or chemical weapons?
Answer: YES, and by far more than anyother country in the world

Question 4: Have the USA ever used nuclear weapons?
Answer: YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, killing hunderds of thousands japanese in
Nagasaki (World War II)

With these simple questions and answers that everyone should consider, I don't
think that the USA has the right to talk about justice or about peace, or even
about theat,

One other example, among many many others, is the Palestinian/Israeli war. Are
the US involved in this issue? OF COURSE they are...they are helping Israel
get rid of the palestininians and deport them outside their homeland...

Another example, when a palestinian kills an israeli, that's considered
Terrorism, but when it is an israeli soldier who kills a palestinian, that is
a "mistake"............These wordings my friends are coming from the
administration you wanted to have to represent you...

WAO!!!, I mean wao!!!! that is really amazing...now you guys are talking
about making peace in the world....You want to go and initiate a war and kill
people, mostly civilians, children, women, generate chaos and death, blood,
tears and sadness....and you call that peace...

If you guys, who are human beings, think that is the right thing to do, answer
me this simple question: why don't the other human beings, around the world,
don't think the same way you do? Are the French stupid, Are the Chinese
stupid, Are the Russians stupid, Is the Arab world stupid, Are Germans
stupid?....

I think one of the only things the US cannot do for the world...is to offer it
a lesson of peace...

One last thing, if this is the concept of freedom and peace for you americans,
then I am highly disappointed...
