Being one of those 'Parrots' that you referred to in your message, I found
it sad to know that a person who owns worldly culture and intelligence was
not able or willing to share that worldly view with the rest of us.

Some of your points I find valid - but the tone in which you demonize we
'American' members of the class certainly will undermine your attempt at
encouraging intellectual growth and understanding of foreign cultures.
How dare a person throw such insults (silent, anonymous insults at that)
regarding American lack of understanding and then follow up with statements
that criticize those students willing to share their thoughts, media induced
or not.

While I did not vote for Bush, I am not afraid to declare my love for this
country and all the rest of us 'Americans', Palestinians, Israelis,
Iranians, etc. - While our country and its leadership makes decisions
everyday that I may not support whole heartedly, I do support the people of
the World who everyday make the decision to participate in life.
