re:the end to oil wars etc.

Actually there is a hydrogen engine that is being tested. The Hybrid cars,
the Honda Insight, and the Toyota Prius are Hydrogen fuel cell technology.
It is unfortunant that people love their SUV's too much to look at alternate
forms of transportation.

I agree that the world needs to look into other forms of technology and that
much could be done in the way of improving energy production, but I do not
think that it is up to the companies alone. This is a capitalistic society
and we must as a comsumer body make the decision to demand those products
form the producers or else they will not make them.

Even her in Austin, a relatively liberal town, we do not even have a decent
public transportation system. People are forced into cars and that is the
way the oil companies want it. Personally, I do not own a car and am at the
mercy of capitol Metro. I voluntarily gave up my vehicle and am doing what
I can to make the transportation system better in this town including
political action on the part of lightrail.

I agree that US foreign policy is more about oil and weapon trade than any
concern ablut the freedom and security of the population of foreign
countries. If just one American president would just say hey Israel, you
have to give back the weapons, we are done supporting you. You are over 50
years old so you can take care of yourself, that would do more than all the
wars for democracy in the last half century in the Middle East.
