Subject: English Department's Oxford Summer Program

Dear Colleagues,

The English Department's Oxford Summer Program at Brasenose College is now accepting applications from students who will be eligible to take upper-division English courses by the second summer term of 2003. Three courses are offered and each is built around exploring and exploiting being in England. The 2003 courses will be Nineteenth-Century Oxford (Prof. Jerome Bump), English Women Novelists 1813-1925 (Prof. Liz Cullingford), and Shakespeare's Plays: Text and Performance (Prof. Wayne Rebhorn). Program trips and events are also scheduled.

For more information, contact Prof. Alan Friedman, Program Director, Calhoun 214 (471-8376 or 471-4991; e-mail friedman@uts.cc.utexas.edu), or Kristine Laudadio, staff coordinator, Parlin 114 (471-8876; krislaud@mail.utexas.edu), or check the web at http://www.en.utexas.edu/programs/oxford/.

There will also be a reception for prospective students on November 14, 5:00-6:30 in Parlin 105.
