Re: NYT article on Anti-War movement

Sumaya, thanks so much for posting this article.  Being so busy with school, I don't have enough time to thoroughly analyze news events.  I try to watch the national news every night.  However, the news rarely ever covers anti-war sentiments.  It feels so good to know that there are people who oppose a US war with Iraq.  I found the last paragraph of the article really interesting.  I must be totally clueless, but I had no idea that our UT student government passed a resolution opposing an attack.  I'm surprised that it passed by such a slim margin.  I'm becoming more and more disenchanted with the American people.  The fact that 50% of Americans support sending ground troops is amazing.  People want to follow the president blindly, without questioning his motives.  I agree with Sumaya that this article gives some reason to be optimistic.  I just wish that anti-war sentiment had equal weight in the eyes of the media.
